Alejandro Venable-Croft

Alejandro Venable-Croft is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences (SBES) at Virginia Tech. Originally from Edgewater, Maryland, he earned his B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2023.

His primary research focuses on spinal radiomics, where he develops bone texture metrics to assess and predict spinal fusion progression. In addition to this work, his research interests include long bone mechanoregulation and medical device design, reflecting a broader commitment to advancing musculoskeletal health through engineering and computational approaches.

Outside of his academic pursuits, Alejandro enjoys hiking, camping, working out at the gym, and watching sports.
